Brett Ireland is the co-founder and CEO of Bearhill Brewing, a brewing, distilling, and hospitality group he started in Jasper with two friends, fresh out of a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Alberta. What began as a single brewpub has grown into a vertically integrated company with six locations across Alberta, a provincial sales and distribution division, and Maligne Range, a craft whisky brand launched after twelve years of inventory development.
Brett has spent over a decade contributing to his industry alongside his business. He chairs the Tourism Industry Association of Alberta, sits on the Canadian Craft Brewers Association Board, led the Alberta Craft Brewers Association board through the pandemic, and co-founded the Alberta Craft Distillers Association.
Away from work, Brett is a husband and father of two who runs, hikes, camps, and enjoys a beer with a friend.
