Darcy Strang is a senior regulatory and public safety executive with nearly 40 years of experience in investigations, leadership, security operations, risk management and regulatory compliance.
He currently serves as Director of Compliance for AGLC, providing strategic leadership and regulatory oversight across Alberta’s liquor, cannabis, and gaming sectors.
Before joining AGLC, Darcy was Vice President of the Security Operations Bureau with Oilers Entertainment Group and Katz Group, where he led the development of security operations for Rogers Place and ICE District and oversaw close protection responsibilities.
Earlier in his career, Darcy served 29 years with the Edmonton Police Service, retiring as an Inspector with the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team. In that capacity, he led and supported major investigations involving organized crime.
