Jake founded Presidential Brewing Company in Portage, Michigan in 2019. A former finance lead at Stryker, he still handles the brewery's accounting, projections, and cost analysis. After opening just before the pandemic and a staffing crisis that put him back on the line, he rebuilt the business around processes, a leadership team, and tight financial discipline. From 2022 to 2025, Presidential nearly doubled revenue and turned a profit for the first time. Jake now teaches other operators that same playbook. He is a 2026 Craft Brewers Conference speaker on brewery profitability and the author of Shifting Gears: The Ultimate Roadmap to Crafting Your Legendary Brewery or Restaurant.
