We are very enthusiastic about the prospect of gathering representatives from all parts of the fast-growing Alberta brewing industry value chain. From under 20 manufacturing licenses only 3.5 years ago, to nearly 70 now, brewing is fast on its way to becoming a signature industry for Alberta. In March 2017, around 400 people gathered at our first annual Alberta Craft Brewing Convention, representing every aspect of the brewing value chain, including reps from distilleries and wineries! With over 25 trade show participants and 10 major sponsors, our first event in Red Deer was a rousing success.
Based on last year, we anticipate 500 to 700 people to attend the main conference, with over 1200 people expected at the first annual Alberta Beer Awards. We will be inviting Alberta’s distilleries, meaderies and estate wineries to join us. Out-of-province attendees have been invited and indicate an interest in attending. There really is not a comparable event in the prairies.
Sponsorship allows us to keep registration costs low for our members and other guests, which we think increases the overall value of the event to participants and serves to strengthen the industry for the future.
Our aim is always to work with our sponsors to create mutual value: exposure that grows your business and shows off your expertise while adding valuable information and contacts that help our members build their business.
ASBA works year-round to build the independent brewing industry in Alberta, offering sponsors the ability to go beyond a one-time opportunity to interact with our membership. If you'd like to talk about a year-round, custom package, please let us know.
